New London Connecticut Things To Do
One of the best cities in Connecticut is New London, a small town of about 2,000 people in Connecticut, just outside Hartford.
Located on Block Island Sound, which separates mainland Rhode Island from mainland Connecticut, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the state of Connecticut. On the southeast side of Block Island you will find Mohegan Bluffs, which are located about 60 meters above sea level. The 60-metre-high Mo heaps offer views of the mud cliffs, where they are enclosed in a band on the block island, almost 80 kilometres from New London.
New London also has a large ferry that runs from New London to New Haven, Connecticut, via the Block Island Sound. It is also a lighthouse lovers paradise that can be seen by lighthouse lovers, and it is home to the largest lighthouse in the United States and one of the largest in the world.

This unique neoclassical building and museum is located near the Coast Guard Museum and Connecticut College and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in New London. This new building was built about 5 minutes across the waterfront and is located right next to the Connecticut State House, a great place for a quick visit.
The tour here should be a good introduction to the history of New Haven and its history as a city. I would suggest taking a bike ride to Block Island and doing your first bike ride here. It is about a 5 minute walk from the State House and you can start at the corner of Main Street and East Street, just a few blocks from your hotel.
After seeing the City Pier and feeling the great breeze in the water, you can head down to New London Waterfront Park. Bring your fishing gear and fish to one of the jetties and continue to the other end to see the New Haven Bridge, State House and Old Town Hall.
From the deck you can also watch the passing trains, ferries, the New Haven Bridge and the State House. The ferry ride offers incredible views of the eternal water and at the same time information about the history of New London and its history as a gateway to New York City.

The Lyman Allyn Art Museum is an ideal place to learn about art, as it houses the largest collection of contemporary art in New London and one of the oldest in the country. The museum shows works by artists from all over the world, from the Middle Ages to the present.
The Custom House Maritime Museum tells the story of New York's waterfront, featuring artifacts from the local lighthouse, US Customs and Amistad, and a changing exhibition on the city's maritime history. Visit other local attractions on Block Island or go out to see wildlife and visit the historic lighthouse on the corner of Main Street and South Street.
