If you haven't been to the South Side Bistro and met Marika, the host, owner, cook, and confidant, then you have missed an opportunity to enjoy fine food and make a new friend. Each dish is prepared as if you were a family member, visitng after a long absence. The menu is creative, and changes to accomodate seasonal goods. The food is, well, just wonderful! Dishes include selections of seafood, beef, chicken and creative pasta. Bring a fine bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal, or pick one up right next door. A deck overlooking the Thames river offers pleasant views and is open any day the weather will permit.. ENJOY!

Some friends and I had the fantastic luck of stumbling upon this place yesterday. The food and the atmosphere are WONDERFUL. Aside from being some of the most delicious sandwiches I have ever tasted, the owner (who was waiting tables that day, but I believe is normally in the kitchen) treated us like family. It was a warm and friendly place. Anyone in New London MUST visit South Side Bistro. You wont be disappointed at all!
